Taking a Baby to Umrah or Hajj – Things to Know

Umrah is one of the best ways to worship, and every pilgrim is excited to do it. But mothers who have to plan an Umrah trip with young children have to think about both themselves and their children. Many moms are both excited and scared to take their kids on a holy journey. 7 days umrah package 2023 with flights are based on a stay of at least seven days, which is too long for a baby to be away from his or her mother. So, they have to bring the kids along. People usually tell you that going on Umrah with young children is hard or a lot of work, but good planning and organization can show you a different side of the story. Islamic Travel is proud to be able to help our sisters by giving you a list of things that will make travelling with kids easier.

Things to Pack for Toddlers

ID Cards: Don't leave your hotel without putting a name tag with your child's name, the name of the hotel, and a phone number in his or her pocket or pinning it to his or her clothes. Before going on a holy journey, it's best to make two or three ID cards with important information for your young children in your home country. Get a lanyard and a plastic coating for your card. The plastic coating keeps your card from getting wet or torn. Make sure your baby wears it every time you leave the hotel, no matter where you go.

Even though strollers aren't allowed inside the Haram Sharif, they are a lifesaver outside. You have to walk a lot, which is hard to do with a baby if your hotel is far from the Holy Haram or the Prophet Mosque. It also makes you tired, which can mess up other rituals and ibadah that you can do better when you are rested. So, if you have kids, you must bring a stroller. Remember that you should never leave your strollers unlocked, or the housekeeping staff will take them with the other things. It's best to park them near the entrance to the Makkah Tower or behind the public bathroom for women. Use a chain to lock it to the bathroom grills as well, because it's better to be safe than sorry. People should use umbrellas that are easy to hold and don't weigh too much.

As we said above, strollers are not allowed inside the Haram, so you'll need a different way to carry your baby when you do Tawaf. During Tawaf, you can put your baby in a baby carrier. This is the safest way for your child to do Tawaf with you without getting lost or hurt. You also don't have to worry about them, so you can just think about your Tawaf.

First aid and drugs: As a mom, you know what your toddler might need if he or she has a cold, a fever, an upset stomach, or is tired. You need to bring important medicines for yourself and your child. For Cheap Umrah Packages from London to go off without a hitch, you have to take care of both. Keep them in the medicine bag with your prescriptions so they can be checked at the airport.

Try to avoid rush hours: It is one of the best ways to make Tawaf go quickly and easily. Try to avoid rush hours and go at the least busy time. A channel called "Quran-e-Karim" showed the Haram Sharif live. If you turned on the TV in your hotel room, you could find out about the Mutaaf and the right time to pray.

Use your money wisely: When travelling with kids, it can be hard to stay on budget for the whole Umrah trip. All you have to do is manage your money better and set aside some money for snacks, shopping, and toys for your kids. You shouldn't pack up a lot of toys and bring them to Makkah. Instead, you should buy them cheap new toys, because nothing makes a toddler happier than a brand-new toy. Cheap toys are small, easy on the wallet, and fun all at the same time.

Use the Wheel Chairs Service: If you're tired by Sa'ey and feel like you can't even carry your baby in a baby carrier, you can use the wheel chairs service. Many people will carry your child or even you in a wheelchair for small fees.

Shoes that are comfortable and last a long time: This is where you have to spend money. Buy good, light, and long-lasting shoes for your Umrah trip. Remember that you have to carry your shoes in your bag, so they need to be light. Carrying around a toddler and a pair of heavy shoes adds to your load.

Kids' clothes that are easy on the skin: Be smart about how you travel with your kids. Your baby boy looks cute in Ihram, but you have to change his clothes as soon as you get to the Haram. Kids can only be distracted for so long, so you should bring extra comfortable clothes so you can change before they get mad.

Choose where to meet: It's easy to get lost in Haram Sharif, so it's best to mark a meeting point before you split up so you can find your partner after you've finished Tawaf or prayers. You shouldn't use places like bathrooms, shoe racks, water coolers, or the Quran Sharif as a meeting point. Why? Because there are so many, look for obvious landmarks like the green light at the beginning of the Tawaf or the Makkah Tower. Also, choose two spots to meet. If one of you has to move from first place, you can go to the second mark that has already been set.

Pack in Light Weight Bag: If you want to carry important baby items, a cross-body bag or backpack is the best choice. You have to leave room for the shoes you will take off at the Haram entrance. Some of the most important things for a baby are a bottle and milk powder, diapers, shoes, money, a cell phone, and a hotel key card with a map. It's best to bring two bags, one for you and one for your partner. That way, if one of you loses their bag, the other has shoes and a hotel card to get back to them.
